Last year West Morgan finished eighth in Class 3A region 8 with a 0-7 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Rebels would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 1-19 record. Since 2010, West Morgan has gone a combined 11-49. Their 18.0% winning percentage ranks 55th in Class 3A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, West Morgan has managed to compile a record of 150-123. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 24th in Class 3A and 125th in the AHSAA. The Rebels are led by head coach John Ritter who is entering his first season at the helm. His team finished with a 0-10 record in his first season at West Morgan. The Rebels have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Ritter. Coach Ritter's overall record as a head football coach in three seasons stands at 16-17 (48.5%). Over the course of his career, Coach Ritter's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times . The Rebels enter the 2016 season in the middle of a 10 game losing streak. They would like nothing better than to end the string of losses early in the season. The West Morgan Rebels will play in Class 3A region 8 during the 2016 season. This season, the Rebels will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in Region 8. The Rebels open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Priceville on Thursday, August 25 at Bulldog Stadium. Last year the Priceville Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 8-3 and in first place in Class 4A region 7. The Bulldogs lost in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs to Hamilton by a score of 29-28. West Morgan and Priceville have met a total of 12 times on the football field.
